		<description>I agree that tort reform is definitely needed. 

Is it the only answer to the problem? No. Not at all.

What is another answer? What about the health care exchange where insurance plans would be available to peoples of other states and other localities? Why isn&#039;t that part of the major debate? Obama had talked about pushing that idea prior to his election.

How about relieving the insurance companies of the massive local and state regulations? That would reduce cost as staying in compliance of so many different sets of rules costs a lot of money. It would be easier to cut costs if there was a single set of rules to deal with.

I&#039;m not saying that insurance companies don&#039;t do a fair number of self-serving things that people need help with (like denying coverage to people with even the most minor pre-existing conditions). My point is that the Hammer of Congress shouldn&#039;t be used to wipe out a lot of the existing system... They should actually work to fix the shortcomings and the areas that cause the most problems for both sides of this debate.</description>
